US authorities announced Wednesday that they had arrested 750 people involved with the powerful Mexican methamphetamine cartel Jalisco New Generation, denting one of the world's "most dangerous" trafficking organizations. The Drug Enforcement Administration said 250 were arrested around the United States early Wednesday, taking the total to 750 during the crackdown. The Justice Department also unveiled fresh indictments of the cartel's head Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as El Mencho, and his son and daughter, who are both already in US custody.
